Orthokeratology, commonly called Ortho-K, uses specially designed contact lenses worn overnight to temporarily reshape the cornea. After removing the lenses in the morning, many patients can see clearly throughout the day without glasses or daytime contacts.
What is Ortho-K?
Ortho-K lenses are custom-fitted rigid gas permeable contact lenses worn while you sleep. They gently and temporarily reshape the front surface of the eye to correct vision. Because the effect is temporary, the lenses are worn regularly at night to maintain clear daytime vision.
